ABOUT OPENSCORES

What is OpenScores?

Free sheet music, interactive music games, quizzes, and educational resources for musicians of all ages.

My Mission

OpenScores is a platform for musicians of all ages, offering more than just free sheet music. Younger musicians can enjoy educational resources and interactive games, while older musicians can use practice materials and other resources to support their musical growth.

About the Founder

Hi, my name is Aaron. I've been in band since middle school , and I can honestly say it's been a fun experience. My goal is to spread music education as participation in music programs has been declining. I want to make music more accessible while also experimenting and developing my composition skills.

I started this project back in 2023 because I thought to myself: how can I improve my composition skills while also providing resources and guidance to other musicians?

I have experience across the woodwind family, having learned and played flute, clarinet, oboe, saxophone, and bassoon, along with additional experience playing French horn.

Where It Started

One of my earliest compositions was written in 2023 while I was still learning the basics of composing and arranging music. Looking back at that piece now shows how much my writing and understanding of music have developed since then.

Supporting Music Education
